If you have never been on an aircraft carrier, the one you should set foot on should be highly memorable. Thanks to the folks at the USS Midway Museum, it will be! America's longest serving aircraft carrier flew from 1945 to 1992. There's plenty to learn, whether you're a casual fan of history or a hard-core military buff, the guides are quite knowledgeable and will answer your questions as the tour winds down. Don't forget to check out the great items at the gift shop so you can take home a little piece of history.

The Lyceum Theater prides itself in being a state-of-the-art, popular venue for unusual and striking arts presentations that span every imaginable style, approach and genre. This theater complex is also the home of the San Diego Repertory Theatre. The venue boasts three stages which include the medium-sized Space Theatre, the larger Stage Theatre and the small Underground Stage that all offer different types of productions and presentations. There's always appealing entertainment on the performance schedule, so check often and get your tickets to see any of the great shows coming to the Lyceum.
The Junipero Serra Museum was named for the founder of the California Missions and is located in Presidio Park. The attraction is dedicated to preserving the state's heritage, and offers a historical perspective of San Diego that is not normally featured in museums or other arenas.
