Check out the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys to explore an impressive collection of unique and classic toys. The exhibits showcase a wide range of antique dolls, miniature houses, trains, planes, cars, giant teddy bears, foreign toys, and much more, giving visitors an insight into the cultural significance of toys and their evolution over the years. The Museum staff uses the collection of over 20,000 objects to stage four significant exhibit changes each year, ranging from vintage Star Wars toys to artisan dollhouses and from exquisite antique dolls to well-loved toy soldiers. The objects collected from generations of Coloradans serve as an excellent stepping stone into art and history, and many items, like the Japanese Friendship Doll Miss Yokohama, make history more accessible and open the door to a new experience.

Come and stroll through the Golden Fine Arts Festival, an open-air art gallery showcasing the works of over 140 talented artists. Browse various quality paintings, ceramics, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, photography, and sculptures on display. Art enthusiasts are encouraged to shop and help spread the word about the incredible talent of local artists. The event has a rich community tradition and a well-established reputation and features over 100 artist booth spaces. Artists are selected through a competitive jury process overseen by art professionals. More than half of the participating artists usually travel to Golden from outside Colorado.

Are you looking for some water-themed fun and attractions? Look no further than Water World, America's largest water park. With over 50 water rides, slides, and attractions on over 70 beautifully landscaped acres, this park promises big thrills for the whole family. Water World is part of the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District and first opened in August 1979 with the state's first two waterslides, the Bonzai Pipeline. The park is known as the "Water Coaster Capital of Colorado" and boasts three thrilling coasters, a giant wave pool, white-water rapids, speed slides, the world-famous Voyage to the Center of the Earth, and the new Alpine Springs area. Turtle Bay and Wally World are also welcome for tots, private bungalows and cabanas, free parking, and picnics.
