Cool off on the ice with Chaparral Ice, Austin's indoor ice skating recreation venue with an NHL regulation-size rink available to the public. With fun and safety at their core, classes provide fundamentals for recreational skating and a solid foundation for achieving success in figure skating, hockey, and other ice sports like curling and broomball. Whether it's your first time on the ice, returning to a favorite pastime from childhood, or you wish to continue training for competitions, classes will guide you through the process with focus, fun, and safety.

Take a drive across the scenic Pennybacker Bridge, also known as the Loop 360 Boat Ramp, where the weathering steel bridge is said to blend perfectly with the natural environment of Austin and has won several architectural and engineering awards. This three-acre park is for launching and picking up watercraft, as well as access to fishing along the shoreline that is covered by a few bald cypresses and sycamore trees to offer shade.

Stroll through the Bremond Block Historic District for a glimpse into the opulent homes of Victorian-era movers and shakers of Austin. The 11 historic homes were constructed from the 1850s to 1910.
