Lake Travis is considered one of the clearest lakes in Texas that has plenty to do for the outdoor recreationist, including fishing, boating, scuba diving, picnicking, and camping. The historic home was built in 1856 and is the oldest continuously occupied executive residence west of the Mississippi. The building is designated a National Historic Landmark.
