Celebrate Hispanic culture and empower the community by promoting inclusion, culture, and education at the Institute of Hispanic Culture, where you will learn about the historical, linguistic, scientific, and artistic influence of Hispanic culture in the United States. Join together to preserve and disseminate the richness of Hispanic culture, values, and civic interests with the community of Houston, and see how they provide different educational and networking activities in collaboration with local universities. The main priorities of the Institute of Hispanic Culture are education and preserving Hispanic culture and values. As such, the Institute’s committees organize activities and events to raise funds for scholarship programs.

Start with choosing from the huge assortment of pottery pieces, including plates, mugs, banks, boxes, and more. Then design and paint by using special techniques and tools that make painting so easy anyone can create a masterpiece. Then take home your masterpiece and treasure it forever. Cast your gaze into the wild-blue-yonder and encounter the Wings Over Houston Airshow, featuring the internationally famous and awe-inspiring US Navy Blue Angels. This event provides more than five hours of thrilling aerial shows from some of the greatest military and civilian pilots. Ranked as one of the top airshows in the country, it also offers ground attractions, such as simulators, ride-and-drive opportunities, and nearly 100 static aircraft to view. There’s even a play area for kids featuring a rock-climbing wall, inflatable slides and obstacles, carnival-style games, rides, and the NASA Driven to Explore Exhibit.
